The China Customs registration certificate is a companion document to the China foreign trade registration certificate and is required for Chinese companies that are involved in importing and exporting goods into and out of China.

Issuing Entity
Local customs bureaus issue the China customs registration certificate to Chinese companies. These bureaus also provide import and export licenses and enterprise classifications to companies. These documents are required for companies who trade a range of restricted products.
Usage
Any Chinese company that exports or imports goods out of or into China is required to hold a valid China customs registration certificate. If a Chinese company does not hold a valid certificate, that company may be using a third-party trading company to export or import its goods in China. It is important to note that the government recently announced a new policy that states companies registering their business after February 1, 2019 will no longer need to apply separately for a China customs registration certificate as it will be incorporated as part of the business license registration process.
